Heart rate zone adjustments for other max HR :
"Greets,
Could you give an example of heart rates for the five types of effort with a max HR of lets say 140 (and 170 would be nice too) so one can see what the adjustments look like vs. the max HR of 190? I think alot of folks would feel more comfortable with their own HRs for effort with those other comparisons.
Thanks much!!!!
Stu"
Answer: Hi Stu, it is quite simple - you just look at the percent difference of the different zones and apply it to your max HR.
As an example of how to do this.
If a heart rate Effort is based on say 200 of max heart rate and a example zone starts at say 170, you take 170 /200 = 0.85.
Then if your personal max HR is 190, that means you take 190 and multiply with 0,85 and you get 161. It is as simple as that.
I wish you all the best, Marius
